- Information about the Manitoba-Québec Six-Month Student Exchange Program has been posted. In this exchange program students are paired with Québec students for a six-month period - three months in Manitoba and three months in Québec.

- Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth and Manitoba Hydro continue to offer Education for Sustainable Development Grants to promote sustainability in classrooms. The grants will provide up to $2000 to cover expenses, such as teacher release time, professional development, and teaching/learning resources for sustainability education.

- Applications are now being accepted for the Manitoba Scientists in the Classroom Grants 2009-2010.
The Grade 7 to Grade 12 German Language and Culture: A Foundation for Implementation and Grade 9 to Grade 12 German Language and Culture: A Foundation for Implementation documents have been posted. These documents have been developed collaboratively with Alberta Education and provide a number of resources for teachers including three sample units.
A series of new Ukrainian Social Studies Blackline Masters (BLMs) for Grades 1 to 6 are now available for Ukrainian-English bilingual programming. The BLMs have been adapted and translated from the Hands on Social Studies series developed by Portage and Main Press and MECY's Foundation for Implementation resources for Social Studies.
Promising Pathways: High School and Adult EAL Programming Options for English as an Additional Language (EAL) Youth has been posted. This guide was written to familiarize educational advisors with the various educational options available for young adult English as an Additional Language (EAL) speakers who are new to the Canadian education context.

- The Kindergarten Mathematics: Support Document for Teachers has been posted. This support document provides various instructional activities, assessment strategies, and learning resources meant to promote the meaningful engagement of math learners.

- The Kindergarten to Grade 8 Mathematics Glossary: Support Document for Teachers has been posted. This glossary is intended to be used as a resource to help teachers develop a common understanding and consistent use of mathematical terms throughout a students mathematical education.
A new appendix has been added to the Grade 2 Social Studies curriculum, entitled Appendix H – Learning Resources: Aboriginal Communities in Canada. This document lists learning resources that support the study of a contemporary Canadian Aboriginal community and are suggested for use in Cluster 2 (Canadian Communities) of the Grade 2 Social Studies curriculum.

- The document The Languages We Speak: Aboriginal Learners and English as an Additional Language: A Literature Review of Promising Approaches and Practices has been posted. This document has been developed to review English as an Additional Language (EAL) literature with respect to the theories, research and perspectives presented in teaching English to Aboriginal EAL learners, with a particular focus on schools and school systems in which English is the primary medium of instruction.

- Grade 12 Career Development: Life/Work Planning: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes and A Foundation for Implementation has been posted. This document has been designed to connect school learning with workplace and labour market realities, which will contribute to increasing student retention and graduation rates in Manitoba.
The Grades 9 to 12 Mathematics: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes (2009) is now available. This document provides the outcomes and achievement indicators for all mathematics courses in Grades 9 to 12.
The Senior Years Industrial Arts: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes has been posted. This framework has been designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop transferable learning skills.
The recipients of the 2009-2010 MECY/Manitoba Hydro Grants for Education for Sustainable Development have been announced.

- The document A Guide to French Language Education in Manitoba is now available. This guide provides answers to common questions about French First Language, French Immersion, and Basic French programs in Manitoba schools.
A generic calendar is to assist students in Grades 11 and 12 PE/HE Active Healthy Lifestyles courses track their physical activity participation has been posted.
The introductory statement to the Grade 11 History of Canada curriculum has been updated. Descriptions of draft learning experiences, historical background statements and revised timelines for publication and implementation are also available.

- The Grade 12 Active Healthy Lifestyles: Manitoba Physical Education/Health Education Curriculum Framework of Outcomes and A Foundation for Implementation is now available. The purpose of this document is to provide Manitoba school administrators and teachers with the basis for curriculum planning, teaching, learning, and assessment.
Responses to Frequently Asked Questions for the "Implementation of Grades 11 and 12 Physical Education/Health Education: A Policy Document" has been updated.
Manitoba Music Educators’ Association, in partnership with Manitoba Education, Citizenship and Youth, is proud to present Music Month Performances at the Manitoba Legislature. The schedule of these noon-hour musical performances has been posted.

Information about American Sign Language (ASL) curriculum and resources is now available. A DRAFT version of the Grade 9 to 12 American Sign Language and Deaf Culture: Manitoba Curriculum Framework of Outcomes has also been posted.

ECO-Globe Schools Recognition Program submission criteria is now available. ECO-Globe Schools is a program developed to recognize and acknowledge schools commitment to Education for Sustainable Development and to share ideas and innovative practices.
The Grade 10 Physical Education/Health Education (20F): A Course for Independent Study: Field Validation Version is now available from the Distance Learning office.
