About School-Initiated Courses (SICs) and Student-Initiated Projects (SIPs)
School-Initiated Courses (SICs) and Student-Initiated Projects (SIPs) are curricula that have been developed by school divisions/schools to meet local needs and interests.

Graduation Requirements related to SICs and SIPs
More opportunity is provided for SICs and SIPs including sharing of such courses across the province. Students can select a maximum of 11 SICs and three SIPs across their Senior Years. Schools are encouraged to consult with parents and other community members, about their SIC and SIP school offerings.

During the 2004-2005 school year, the online registration of SICs will not be mandatory, although it is encouraged.
